Yoga for Kids with Neurodiverse
$115/hr for private class
$30/hr for a small group class (maximum of 4)
This specialized yoga program is designed to support neurodiverse children, including those with Autism, ADHD, and related learning or sensory differences. Every class is a gentle, playful journey focusing on self-regulation, emotional growth, and physical and overall well-being.
Classes follow a predictable structure to help reduce anxiety and offer a familiar, comforting experience. Each session creates a sensory-friendly space with minimal distractions, allowing kids to relax into their own bodies without overwhelming stimuli. Activities emphasize mindful movement, adaptable yoga poses, breathing exercises, and cooperative games, all tailored for different learning styles and abilities.
Our approach encourages parallel play and group connection—helping kids share the experience while limiting social pressures. Yoga is presented as a non-competitive, personal practice, where every child is supported to succeed in their own way through flexible modifications and self-kindness.
Over time, children build resilience and practical self-calming tools they can use in daily life. The heart of our program is holistic—nourishing each child physically, emotionally, and socially. Together, we create a supportive environment where neurodiverse kids thrive, developing self-awareness and confidence beyond the yoga mat.
Yoga for Kids with Rare Neurological Disorders
$115/hr for private classes
$30/hr for a small group class (maximum of 4)
This yoga program is crafted for children with rare neurological diseases, like HNRNPU-related disorders, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other unique conditions. The classes provide gentle, accessible movement and deep relaxation practices, tailored for children who often face significant developmental, motor, or sensory challenges.
Each session is adapted for individual mobility, coordination, and energy levels. Yoga poses are modified, props are used for support, and pacing is slow to ensure safety and comfort. Breathing exercises and mindfulness games foster self-calming, improve focus, and encourage emotional stability. Through guided relaxation, children experience stress relief and an enhanced sense of body awareness—essential for those with neurological vulnerabilities.
Therapeutic benefits include:
Improved muscle tone and gentle strength-building for mobility difficulties.
Enhanced coordination, posture, and proprioception.
Emotional stability and reduced anxiety through structured, predictable activities.
Social connection in a non-judgmental group where children and families share support.
Parents are encouraged to participate alongside their children, allowing for bonding, mutual encouragement, and carryover of self-care routines at home. The ultimate goal is to nurture resilience, dignity, and confidence for every child by celebrating unique abilities and providing holistic wellness support.
